Basketball Recap: Janelle Etsitty's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rehoboth Christian over Hozho Academy

Rehoboth Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Hozho Academy on Saturday. The Rehoboth Christian Lynx took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hozho Academy Wolves. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rehoboth Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janelle Etsitty, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Aunika Becenti, who scored seven points.

Hozho Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Khloe Todecheenie out in front who earned 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Toledo, who put up nine points.

Rehoboth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hozho Academy, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Rehoboth Christian will be playing at home against Tse' Yi' Gai at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hozho Academy, they will head out to square off against Reserve at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
