Softball Recap: Elbert County Blue Devils vs. Rabun County Wildcats
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elbert County). They never let the Rabun County Wildcats onto the board and left with an 18-0 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Elbert County's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Rabun County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elbert County will take on Commerce at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rabun County, they will square off against Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Banks County will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Rabun County surely won't give up without a fight.
