Durham School of the Arts falls despite strong effort from Jadin Haynes

The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-61 to J.F. Webb. Durham School of the Arts has struggled against J.F. Webb recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Durham School of the Arts still got an impressive performance from Jadin Haynes, who shot 4-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. Haynes is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Darryn Johnson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

J.F. Webb was led to victory by Joshua Barnette and Micah Allen. Barnette dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Allen scored 16 points along with six steals. Daniel Wright was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.

Durham School of the Arts has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for J.F. Webb, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durham School of the Arts will take on Granville Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granville Central is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for J.F. Webb, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Louisburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
