Volleyball Recap: Redington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Redington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Nikiski Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

While Redington was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Nikiski's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-18.

RaeLynn Van Eck paced Redington's offense, picking up three kills. Van Eck got some help from Rylee Daw and her five assists.

Among those leading the charge was Abby White, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October. Leah Mortensen also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Redington's loss dropped their record down to 1-27. As for Nikiski, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 36-11-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Redington by a score of 3-0 on Thursday.
