Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Starts Season with Loss at Home

Heritage Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Paden City Wildcats by a score of 38-35 on Tuesday.

Ashton Wade had a dynamite game for Paden City, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Those 23 points gave Wade a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimberly Burch, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Paden City's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Heritage Christian will host Parkersburg Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Paden City, they will venture away from home to face off against Van at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
