Baseball Game Preview: Reedy Lions vs. Creekview Mustangs

The Reedy Lions will challenge the Creekview Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Reedy 3.4, Creekview 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Reedy's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Wakeland hitters got past them. The Lions came up short against the Wolverines on Thursday, falling 11-2.

Meanwhile, Creekview fell victim to Highland Park and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scots. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Sam Perez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one).

On the hitting side, Creekview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Landberg, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Reedy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Creekview, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
