Volleyball Game Preview: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers

The Metea Valley Mustangs will head out to square off against the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Metea Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Neuqua Valley and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Metea Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Wheaton-Warrenville South faced Brother Rice in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Crusaders. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metea Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-6.

Metea Valley came up short against Wheaton-Warrenville South when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
