There was early excitement for Archbishop Mitty after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Saint Francis who ended up claiming the real prize. The Monarchs were just a hair shy of victory and fell 20-19 to the Lancers. The Monarchs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Archbishop Mitty's loss came despite strong showings from Lazaro Faraj-Washington and Joseph Engin. Faraj-Washington rushed for 124 yards and one score, while Engin threw for 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Faraj-Washington is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 108 every time he's taken the field this season.

Motu Keanaaina had a dynamite game For Saint Francis., rushing for 130 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 33 receiving yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Keanaaina a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Archbishop Mitty's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Saint Francis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
