Soccer Recap: West Jefferson vs. Graham Local
After flying high against Wellington School last Monday, West Jefferson came back down to earth. The West Jefferson Roughriders came up short against the Graham Local Falcons on Wednesday, falling 5-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roughriders of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.
West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Graham Local, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Jefferson will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on September 9th. As for Graham Local, their road trip will continue as they head out to face North Union at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Graham Local is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.7 goals per game this season.
