The Gaither Cowboys will face off against the Cypress Creek Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Gaither's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
On Friday, Gaither was fully in charge, breezing past Wharton 48-7. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 36 points or more this season.

Gaither found their leader in sophomore Ryan Browning, who threw for 301 yards and five TDs on only 16 passes. Browning is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Joshua Balloon was another key player, gaining 82 total yards and two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gaither's defense and their five sacks. Wharton's QB won't forget Jacob Aquino anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Gaither received some extra help from Balloon, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Creek). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Pasco 52-17. With the Coyotes ahead 32-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Cypress Creek had a senior duo take command as Starlin Montero rushed for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries and Jayden Fountain rushed for 88 yards and two scores on only six carries.
Cypress Creek didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Pasco to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. The Coyotes have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.59 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.59 in their last three games.
Gaither's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.1 points on average over those games. As for Cypress Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Gaither against Cypress Creek in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 win. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
