Softball Recap: Mount Union Trojans vs. Glendale Vikings
Mount Union lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Glendale, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Trojans' pitcher stepped up to hand the Vikings a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ke' Andra Wible made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Payton Williams was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kaylynn Wharton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
