Basketball Recap: San Leandro Comes Up Short

San Leandro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Castro Valley Trojans. The Pirates lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-34 score last time.

San Leandro's record now sits at 3-15. As for Castro Valley, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-11.

San Leandro will look to defend their home court on January 23rd against Bishop O'Dowd at 7:00 p.m. As for Castro Valley, they will square off against Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
