Baseball Recap: Lakewood Cougars vs. Anacortes Seahawks

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Anacortes Seahawks. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to the Seahawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakewood got a good showing from Connor Taylor, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Taylor has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aiden Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
