Softball Game Preview: Rapid River Rockets vs. Munising Mustangs

The Rapid River Rockets are taking a road trip to challenge the Munising Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Rapid River has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rapid River is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Thursday. They came up short against North Dickinson, falling 17-2.

Aubrey Olson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Munising fell victim to Norway and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Knights. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Munising's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rapid River, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything went Rapid River's way against Munising in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Rapid River made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
