Volleyball Recap: Dietrich Beats Lighthouse Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Dietrich hadn't done well against Lighthouse Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Amory Shaw paced Dietrich's offense, picking up six kills. Shaw got some help from Lily Hanson and her five assists. Hanson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Anna Larson, racking up four apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Lighthouse Christian lost, don't look at Audrey Wood. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs. Wood has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. Elsie Hagan also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

The victory got Dietrich back to even at 3-3. As for Lighthouse Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Dietrich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Burley on the 6th. As for Lighthouse Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Shoshone on the 9th.
