Basketball Game Preview: Jena Giants vs. Northwood Gators

The Jena Giants are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Northwood Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jena will be strutting in after a victory while Northwood will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Jena blew past Monterey, posting a 47-13 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Giants.

Meanwhile, Northwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Montgomery by a score of 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Gators have suffered since January 30th.

Jena's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Northwood, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

Jena took their win against Northwood in their previous meeting back in November of 2019 by a conclusive 59-39. Will Jena repeat their success, or does Northwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
