Baseball Recap: Eagle's View Triumphs

Eagle's View gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mandarin Mustangs 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Keegan Beckham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camden Wiggins, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Eagle's View's record now sits at 4-5. As for Mandarin, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Eagle's View will venture away from home to challenge Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paxon School For Advanced Studies is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Mandarin, they will be playing at home against Yulee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
