Basketball Recap: Twin Valley South Panthers vs. Dixie Greyhounds
The Twin Valley South Panthers lost against the Dixie Greyhounds back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Twin Valley South took a 67-49 bruising from the Greyhounds. Twin Valley South has not had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chandler Ulrich, who scored ten points along with two steals. Griffin Roell was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Twin Valley South has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Dixie, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twin Valley South won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Carlisle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Ohio (the Indians are ranked 255th, while the Panthers are ranked 751st). As for Dixie, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Legacy Christian Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
