Softball Recap: Western Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Western extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 7-3. They never let the Hastings Saxons get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Hastings, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

For Hastings' part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Bucher, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Coming up, Western will head out to challenge Dexter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hastings, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Otsego at 4:00 p.m.
