 McKinley and Lakeview are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The McKinley Red Dragons will head out on the road to  face off against  the Lakeview Bulldogs at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. McKinley is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season.
 McKinley took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They won by a  run and slipped past Struthers  5-4.
  Brixton Gilmour spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
 On the hitting side,  AJ Yost was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Landon Turner, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They fell just short of Boardman by a score of  4-3.
 Lakeview saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brandon Cash, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isaiah Lantz, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Lakeview was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with four  doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boardman didn't  hit any.
 McKinley's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Lakeview, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
 McKinley's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's   game. McKinley has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.3  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lakeview, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.1. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will McKinley continue to outrun the ball?
