Basketball Recap: Demetri Gentis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Howland over South Range

Howland lost against South Range back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 47-45.

Howland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Demetri Gentis, who shot 67% from the field en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Mickel, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points.

Howland's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howland will challenge Marlington at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Range, they will venture away from home to take on Shenango at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
