Basketball Recap: JP Harris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Christian Academy over Clear Spring

On Thursday, the Faith Christian Academy Falcons ended up a good deal behind the Clear Spring Blazers and lost 55-37. The Falcons were down 47-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Faith Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JP Harris, who posted 16 points and five boards. The game was Harris' third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Young, who had 12 points and five rebounds.

Faith Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Clear Spring, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain View Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 25th. As for Clear Spring, they will take on Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
