Baseball Recap: River Islands' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

River Islands had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Titans as they made off with a 23-11 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 25-0 last Monday.

The team relied heavily on Matthew Echivarre, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Roman Razo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
