Football Recap: Christian Brothers Starts Season with Victory Against Fayette Ware

Christian Brothers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-7 victory over the Fayette Ware Wildcats. With the Purple Wave ahead 47-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Christian Brothers, racking up 19 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Javon Slaton, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from him.

Christian Brothers wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 44-13 win against White Station on the 29th. As for Fayette Ware, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-6 victory against West Carroll on the 29th.
