The New Deal Lions will head out to challenge the Floydada Whirlwinds at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Floydada took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on New Deal, who comes in off a win.

Floydada will be up against a hot New Deal squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. New Deal narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Tahoka 51-48.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Floydada's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 72-56 bruising from New Home.

New Deal has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Floydada, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.
