Softball Game Preview: Junction Eagles vs. Goldthwaite Eagles

Junction will head out to face off against Goldthwaite at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Junction came up short against Harper and fell 7-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Goldthwaite and Harper had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles came up short against the Longhorns on Friday, falling 18-5. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Longhorns since Friday.

Junction's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Goldthwaite, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Junction might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Goldthwaite in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can Junction avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
