 The Far Northeast W Warriors lost against the Northfield Nighthawks back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. Far Northeast W had to suffer through a rough  80-27 loss at the hands of Northfield. Far Northeast W was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  47-12.
  Jaquan Callaham was Far Northeast W's leading scorer, having posted nine points.  
 Steve Griffin held things down on the boards with five rebounds.  
 Julian Griffin-Cobbs took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
 Northfield had a senior duo take command as  Justus Michael  scored 16 points along with four  steals and  Daquan Slayton  scored eight points along with six  rebounds and five  assists. Slayton is crushing the  steal category: he's  posted at least two every time he's  taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nehemiah Tomlinson, who  scored three points along with four  steals.
 Far Northeast W's defeat was  their seventh straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Northfield, the  victory was  the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
 Far Northeast W will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Hopefully Kennedy focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Northfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Denver South at 6:30  p.m.  on February 16th. Hopefully Denver South focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up seven last Tuesday.
