Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Spring Valley made off with a 29-28 victory over Woodrow Wilson. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

South Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Spring Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
