Recap: St. Paul Wildcats vs. Ravenna Bluejays
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the St. Paul Wildcats's strategy against the Ravenna Bluejays on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that St. Paul blew Ravenna out of the water with a 51-21 final score. St. Paul pushed the score to 37-17 by the end of the third, a deficit Ravenna had little chance of recovering from.
Gracie Kelley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlee Wegner, who scored six points along with two steals.
The victory made it two in a row for St. Paul and bumps their season record up to 7-14. As for Ravenna, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
St. Paul didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 36-13 loss vs. Holdrege on the 9th. Ravenna has also already played their next matchup, a 45-37 victory against Gibbon on the 8th.
