Recap: Salina Central Mustangs vs. Eisenhower Tigers
The Salina Central Mustangs were the 40-37 winner over the Eisenhower Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Salina Central was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 41-40 to Eisenhower. Salina Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Salina Central had strong showings from Saniya Triplett, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals, and Callan Hall, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Tyler Vidricksen was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Salina Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Eisenhower, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Salina Central will look to defend their home court on Friday against Andover. Andover is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Eisenhower, they will face off against Trinity Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
