Softball Recap: Harnett Central Trojans vs. E.E. Smith Golden Bulls
Harnett Central came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls with a sharp 17-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 last Tuesday.
Molly Champion made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. Champion was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Harnett Central's record is now 11-4. As for E.E. Smith, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
