Baseball Game Preview: Oswego Bucs vs. Auburn Maroons

For the second straight game, Oswego will face off against Auburn. The Bucs will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Maroons at 4:30 p.m. The last four games Oswego has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Oswego's offense. They fell just short of Auburn by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

For Auburn's part, not much got past Myles McBride, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Oswego off the board. McBride has become a key player for the Maroons: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 4-7 otherwise.

Oswego's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Auburn, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.
