Softball Recap: Holliday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Holliday had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Memorial on Thursday. The Holliday Eagles never let the Memorial Mavericks get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Holliday's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Holliday will head out to challenge Snyder at 10:45 a.m. on Friday. As for Memorial, they will square off against Burkburnett at 11:45 a.m. on Friday.
