Volleyball Recap: Bella Hutchinson and Kayla Hoffman Secure Win for Scotus

Scotus had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Battle Creek Braves. That's more bragging rights for the Shamrocks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Scotus walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 15-25, 25-11.

Leading Scotus to victory were Kayla Hoffman and Bella Hutchinson. Hoffman had ten digs, while Hutchinson hit 61.5% for eight kills and 22 digs, five aces, and one block. Those eight kills gave Hutchinson a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Scotus was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Scotus' win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Battle Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Scotus will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Creek has already played their next match (against Wisner-Pilger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
