Basketball Recap: Caney Comes Up Short

Caney lost against Stuart back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Caney Cougars took a blow against the Stuart Hornets, falling 114-38. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Hornets are ranked 54th).

Caney has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Stuart, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 26-1.

As of now, neither Caney nor Stuart have any future games scheduled.
