It was a good run, but Jasper unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Silver Creek Dragons. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12.

Jasper's offense was headlined by Kendall Corbin and Kate Eckerle, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Halle Recker and her 13 assists. Finally, Eckerle was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Silver Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Jasper has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Evansville North on the 11th. As for Silver Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Edgewood on the 11th.
