Newington had won three straight games and Josiah Sims did his part to make it four on Wednesday. The Nor'easters came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-7 W against the Wethersfield Eagles with plenty of help from Sims, who rushed for 267 yards and one score while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.

Newington's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Wethersfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

As of now, neither Newington nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
