Softball Game Preview: Payson Lions vs. Timpview Thunderbirds

The Payson Lions will face off against the Timpview Thunderbirds at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Payson and 12 for Timpview.

Payson might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-7 to Salem Hills, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Myra Andrew was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Timpview's offense. They came up short against Spanish Fork on Thursday, falling 14-0.

Timpview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Payson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.

Everything went Payson's way against Timpview in their previous meeting back in April, as Payson made off with an 18-3 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
