Baseball Game Preview: Hudson Hawks vs. Shepherd Hill Regional Rams

The Hudson Hawks will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Shepherd Hill Regional Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hudson will be strutting in after a win while Shepherd Hill Regional will be coming in after a loss.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Hudson faced off against Plymouth North on Friday. The Hawks walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Eagles.

Anthony Moura made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Moura was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Blake Freitas was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Shepherd Hill Regional didn't have quite enough to beat Grafton on Monday and fell 4-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost six in a row.

The win got Hudson back to even at 1-1. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
