The Northeastern Bobcats will take on the Red Lion Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Northeastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Northeastern barely beat Spring Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Rockets on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Northeastern got a great performance from Drew Barshinger as he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off ten hits.

On the hitting side, Zack Ball was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Charleston, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Northeastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Red Lion entered their game against Central York on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions fell 4-1 to the Panthers. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Wednesday.

The victory got Northeastern back to even at 3-3. As for Red Lion, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1.

Red Lion's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northeastern hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Red Lion, though, as they've only averaged .242. Will they be able to contain Northeastern's hitters?
