Basketball Game Preview: Coopersville Broncos vs. Grandville Bulldogs

The Coopersville Broncos will head out to challenge the Grandville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Coopersville has four straight victories, Grandville has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Coopersville narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Kenowa Hills 59-56.

Meanwhile, Grandville came up short against Hudsonville on Friday and fell 69-62. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Eagles are ranked ninth).

Coopersville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for Grandville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Coopersville came up short against Grandville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 53-43. Can Coopersville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
