Jefferson City made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rock Bridge, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Jays blew past the Bruins 9-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Jays have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jefferson City pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Rock Bridge, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.

Jefferson City will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bruins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
