Softball Recap: Irvine Takes a Loss

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Tesoro Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in February.

Irvine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Sasaki, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Tesoro, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Irvine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-2 win against University on the 7th. As for Tesoro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Capistrano Valley on the 1st.
