Soccer Game Preview: Lely vs. Cape Coral

The Lely Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Cape Coral Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lely is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

Cape Coral is hoping to do what Charlotte couldn't on Friday: put an end to Lely's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Lely never let Charlotte onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The Trojans' winning goal came courtesy of Sergio Canu.

Meanwhile, Cape Coral can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game back in December of 2024. They and North Fort Myers finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks as the squad haven't won a game since December 9, 2024.

Lely has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. With that draw, Cape Coral's record moves to 3-11-2.
