After losing to St. Charles East the last time they met, Wheaton-Warrenville South decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fighting Saints 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Allie Michalowski was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Caroline Schulz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Wheaton-Warrenville South's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for St. Charles East, they moved to 19-15 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Looking ahead, Wheaton-Warrenville South will welcome Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Charles East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
