Basketball Recap: Bethany Christian Comes Up Short

Bethany Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars. The contest was a 12-12 toss-up at halftime, but the Bruins couldn't quite close it out.

Among those leading the charge was Katie Reimink, who went 6 of 15 en route to 16 points along with seven boards and seven steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Bethany Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Bethany Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-8 loss against DeMotte Christian on the 27th. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-21 victory against South Bend Career Academy on the 27th.
