Coral Academy of Science - Reno started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 29-27, 25-11, 25-20.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lexi Johnson, who had 11 assists and eight digs. Another player making a difference was Sierra Moros, who had seven digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, West Wendover lost 3-0 to North Tahoe on Friday.
While West Wendover was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-9.
Coral Academy of Science - Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for West Wendover, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
