Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Eagles vs. Hiram Hornets
After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Mt. Zion was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against the Hiram Hornets, falling 14-2. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.
Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Hiram, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-18.
Mt. Zion will play host again on Thursday to welcome Flint River Academy, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Hiram does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
