Volleyball Recap: Keira Birch and Charly Monson Secure Win for Green Canyon

Green Canyon posted their closest win since October 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Weber Warriors 3-2. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Green Canyon was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 28-30, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Green Canyon was led to victory by Charly Monson and Keira Birch. Monson had seven digs and five aces, while Birch had 12 digs, ten kills, four aces, and one block. Birch is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good server: Green Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Green Canyon back to even at 2-2. As for Weber, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

After both having extra time off, Green Canyon and Ridgeline will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Wolves their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Weber, they will take on Bingham at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
