Volleyball Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Trimble Tomcats

The Eastern Eagles will square off against the Trimble Tomcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Eastern had won two straight road games and Emeri Lloyd did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Eagles blew past Belpre 3-0 for which the team can thank Lloyd, who had ten digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-18, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Trimble made easy work of Miller on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tomcats in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

Trimble's got stronger as the match went on, holding Miller to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-13.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Trimble, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Eastern took their victory against Trimble when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tomcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
